Barclay Academy

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Based at Barclay Academy in Stevenage, this long-established extra-curricular club offers students aged 11–18 the opportunity to learn valuable mechanical and teamwork skills alongside the thrill of competitive racing. With a proud 50-year history and over 350 students having raced under its banner, BKT has grown into a thriving community of drivers, leaders, and helpers, all united by their passion for motorsport.

BKT is more than just racing—it provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students progress from novice drivers to confident racers while maintaining and preparing their own karts, both on race days and at club nights. Every member is part of a close-knit team that fosters cooperation, resilience, and lifelong friendships. Our aim is for drivers not only to experience the thrill of racing but also to gain hands-on technical expertise, leadership qualities, and a true sense of belonging. At BKT, it’s not just about winning races—it’s about building skills, confidence, and memories that last long after leaving school.

Clarendon

Location: Kelsall, Cheshire

The Clarendon Kart Team was named as a ‘tongue in cheek’ tribute to the schools group of the same name comprising nine English public schools that include Eton, Harrow, Winchester, and Charterhouse. These are historically considered the gold standard of independent education. CKT aims to bring together drivers from different parts of the country and give them a gold standard karting experience!

CKT is committed to helping kids enjoy the best of grass roots motorsport and race to the highest levels of achievement - whilst always being respectful, disciplined and keeping to the rules. We promote a spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship towards everyone across the NatSKA community.

Thomas Alleyne Academy

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

The Thomas Alleyne kart team was established in 2015 and has grown from its humble 3 drivers line up to its current 12 drivers.

We aim to foster and teach many life skills to transfer into further their careers.

In our short existence the team has managed to gain a number of National championship winners. However all our drivers are praised and given assistance and guidance no matter what result they achieve.

We have had a varied line-up of drivers over the years and pride ourselves in our team’s inclusivity and support to all drivers and helpers. Many lessons and skills are learned by drivers and mechanics along the way. And we as a team pride ourselves for the community we have.

Many of our retired drivers have gone onto exceptional careers.

Kingham Hill

Location: Kingham, Oxfordshire

This team boasts a proud and proven heritage in NatSKA, where many drivers first sharpened their skills in Honda class before charging on to race wins and championship glory in Rotax and TKM classes.

Kingham Hill Racing is a dynamic, tight-knit crew of students, parents and staff driven by a shared passion for motorsport. Race weekends throw everything at us - wild weather, last-minute repairs, the pressure of the grid - and every time, the team rallies with energy and determination to get each driver out there, ready to complete.

The opportunities for personal growth are immense. Our students aren’t just developing valuable mechanical and driving expertise - they’re building resilience, sportsmanship and teamwork. The highs and lows of motorsport are a learning journey for all, with friendships forged that will last long after the chequered flag falls. Simply put, there’s no better place to be than trackside with the Kingham Hill Racing team on a NatSKA race weekend.
